You can now register for Salt Pond Golf Club’s annual golf tournament in Bethany Beach, Del. to benefit Alzheimer’s research, which will take place Friday, May 17 at 9 a.m.
The event is sponsored by the Coastal Chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and raised $6,573 last year in its efforts to the cause. Greens fees are $65 and include cart and luncheon at the Cottage Cafe after the event. Door prizes as well as prizes for top-finishing teams will be given out at the luncheon, as well as a live auction.
Sponsorships for each hole are available for $50 each.

The Joshua M. Freeman Foundation has just released the 2013 entertainment schedule at Freeman Stage at Bayside.
53 shows this season will encompass a variety of acts from live music, to dance, to theatre, to kids’ shows, and more. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, residents and visitors alike can see great acts including the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Tommy Edward, First State Ballet, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Nora Jane Struthers and more.
There will also be two ”Locals Under the Lights” nights , where local artists will get a chance to perform for The Freeman Stage crowd.
As for this year’s Special Concert Series, Lyle Lovett & His Acoustic Group will perform July 10th, followed by Sheryl Crow on July 14th. On August 8, Darius Rucker returns to Freeman Stage, followed by performances from Michael McDonald on August 10th and Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo on August 14th.
