Bayside’s Summer Entertainment Schedule Brings in Big Names

This summer, Bayside’s Freeman Stage will play host to a wide variety of popular acts, including LeAnn Rimes and The B-52′s.

Delaware Online takes a look behind the history of the arts coming to the Selbyville/West Fenwick Island golf resort, as Bayside celebrates its fourth summer of hosting popular entertainment acts.

As the article explains, this year’s lineup will include more than 50 acts, including Grammy- nominated jazz artist Gerald Clayton; tributes to The Beatles, Rod Stewart and Elvis Presley; and Ted Keegan, who played the lead role in ”Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway. 

Some of the dates to look for this summer include:

  • June 17, 7 p.m. — Mid–Atlantic Symphony Orchestra: Music for a New Decade
  • June 25, 8 p.m. — An evening with LeAnn Rimes
  • June 30, 7 p.m. — Chesapeake Brass Band
  • July 2, 7 p.m. — The Delaware Symphony Orchestra: “Where Stars Align”
  • July 14, 7 p.m. — “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
  • July 15, 7 p.m. — Our Latin Thing: Salsa Music and Dance
  • July 21, 7 p.m. — Kùlú Mèlé African Dance & Drum Ensemble
  • July 23, 6 p.m. — Gerald Clayton
  • July 29, 7 p.m. — “Chicago — The Musical”
  • Aug. 5, 7 p.m. – Broadway sensation Ted Keegan
  • Aug. 9, 7 p.m. — The B–52s
  • Aug. 13, 7 p.m. — BeatleMania LIVE!
  • Aug. 20, 10 a.m. — The Music School of Delaware Special Showcase
  • Aug. 26, 7 p.m. — Washington National Opera
  • Sept. 1, 7 p.m. — First State Ballet and Opera Delaware
  • Sept. 17, 7 p.m. — “100 Years of Broadway IV”
